Upcoming Events.

Find out about our latest events here.
At Just Purple Presents we develop an inclusive programme of arts and cultural events that help people from all backgrounds and walks of life to express their creativity and feel connected to their community. The arts plays an important role in helping us stay curious about the world around us, by expand our understanding of the human experience and learning more about ourselves and each other.

From workshops and online courses to inspirational speakers and careers support, we strive to create and curate events that are inspiring, informative and, of course, fun.

Our wide network and close community connections allow us to put on events that respond to the changing needs and interests of young people and women of colour, giving them the space to be themselves, find their voices and learn new things.

Thanks to funding from our partners, our events are free or very low-cost to attend. Scroll below to see what’s coming up and get in touch for details or to register your interest.

Youth Empowerment Programme.

Twice Yearly.

Every six months, we run a Youth Empowerment Programme for 14 to 18-year-olds in Bedfordshire who want to expand their horizons.

Funded by the Home Office, through the Bid4Better community funding programme, it helps young people build skills and confidence through leadership workshops, mentoring and inspirational guest speaker spots.

The next programme starts in January. Click the button below to find out when applications open.

Women of Words:
Celebrating Women.

Monthly, usually Tuesdays 7-8.30pm

Take time for you and join a safe space for laughter, tears and real talk.

Our spoken word workshops celebrate and empower women through words. Incorporating audio/visual elements and spoken word performances, these are fully interactive workshops that ask women to bring their bold, brave and authentic selves. Each workshop explores a different theme, and we often welcome guest artists to share their stories and the inspiration behind their craft.

Fusion Youth Choir.

Fridays 4:30-5:30pm and 6-7pm

Every week, in partnership with Faith in Queen’s Park, we host Fusion Youth Choir at All Saints Parish Church in Queen’s Park. This is a brilliant opportunity for children and young people to make friends, expand their musical repertoire and let their voices take over!

With a mix of pop, gospel and soul, they’ll naturally learn about a range of musical styles and genres, and have the chance to perform in local events. The early session is for 5 to 11-year-olds; the later session for 12 to 16-year-olds. Find out more here: https://faithinqueenspark.org.uk/fusion/
